Lahaul & Spiti MLA tests positive for H1N1
Shimla, Sept. 4 -- Congress MLA from Lahaul and Spiti Anuradha Rana has tested positive for the H1N1 virus, commonly known as swine flu.
"I have been discharged from the hospital, but doctors have advised me to stay in isolation for seven to 10 days," said the youngest MLA of HimachalPradesh on her Facebook page after being discharged from Indira Gandhi MedicalCollege and Hospital (IGMC), Shimla.
Himachal Pradesh has already recorded two H1N1 deaths - a 64-year-old man from Bilaspur, who was admitted to IGMC, and a 70-year-old man from Sundernagar, Mandi, who was undergoing cancer treatment at a hospital in Chandigarh.
As many as 11 cases of H1N1 have cropped up in the state so far. Symptoms include high fever or chills, a cough (usually dry), a sore or painful throat, a runny or stuffy nose, severe body and muscle aches, headaches, extreme fatigue and weakness, and in some cases, vomiting and diarrhoea.HTC...
