Kangra cloudburst: Sukhu assures all possible assistance
Shimla, July 24 -- Shimla Kangra district administration had provided immediate relief of Rs.25,000 along with daily essential item kits to 19 families whose houses were completely damaged and Rs.10,000 each to 17 families whose houses had been partially damaged in the cloudburst-affected areas of Boh Valley in Kangra district.
This information was shared by chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Friday after speaking on the phone to deputy chief whip Kewal Singh Pathania, who visited the cloudburst-affected areas of Boh Valley in Kangra district to take stock of the devastation caused by the calamity.
The CM said that the state government stands firmly with the cloudburst-affected families and assured them of all possible assistance. He said the state government would restore the essential services in the affected areas on priority. He appealed to the people to remain vigilant in view of the forecast of heavy rainfall over the coming days....
