HP Lok Bhavan to open its doors to public twice a week
Shimla, April 5 -- Himachal Pradesh Lok Bhavan, the official residence of governor Kavinder Gupta, will now be accessible to the public two days every week.
Gupta announced the decision on Saturday while presiding over joint Statehood Day celebrations of Rajasthan, Odisha, and Bihar at the Shimla-based estate.
Gupta emphasised that the initiative is designed to bridge the gap between the institution and the citizens, ensuring the Bhavan reflects the people's aspirations and participation rather than remaining a restricted official space.
The event, held under the 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' initiative, featured cultural exchanges showcasing the distinct heritages of the three celebrated states.
Addressing the gathering, the governor said that India's core strength is rooted in its unity in diversity, noting that programmes fostering mutual respect for different languages and traditions are vital for national integration....
