Houses of two LeT terrorists demolished
Srinagar, July 24 -- A day after the killing of a policeman in Anantnag town, authorities demolished the houses of two active terrorists in Anantnag district.
Houses of Adil Thokar and Haroon Rashid Ganaie, both active terrorists, were razed to the ground during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, the officials said.
The action came shortly after head constable Ashiq Hussain, who was on Amarnath Yatra security duty, was shot dead by a lone terrorist at Lal Chowk in Anantnag on Wednesday afternoon.
The houses were demolished during the night using controlled IEDs at two separate locations in the district. However, the inmates of the houses were allowed to leave before the two houses were demolished.
Officials said that both houses belonged to Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists who have been operating in South Kashmir. They had been active for the past six to eight years.
Security forces launched a massive crackdown against terrorists and OGWs after the killing of a cop by terrorists on Wednesday afternoon at Lal Chowk, Anantnag.
This was the first attack since the terror attack on tourists in Baisaran, Pahalgam....
