Himachal cabinet meeting on Sept 11 deferred amid rejig buzz
Shimla, Sept. 11 -- Amid the buzz over cabinet expansion and a possible reshuffle, the state cabinet meeting scheduled for September 11 has been postponed.
Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu returned to Shimla on Thursday morning from New Delhi. Officials, privy to the development, said that around four ministers are still camping in New Delhi and had requested that the meeting be adjourned.
It may be mentioned that chief minister Sukhu's visit to New Delhi alongside six ministers, who were already camping in the national capital, had fuelled the buzz about much-awaited cabinet expansion in the state.
Education minister Rohit Thakur, who returned to Shimla on Thursday, said, "This was a routine exercise.
"In our party, when we went to Delhi, we had many party programmes and also met many of our leaders... These meetings were part of routine exercises," he added....
