JAMMU, May 27 -- Panic gripped the posh green belt park area of Gandhi Nagar on Tuesday evening when suspected criminals opened fire at a police party before fleeing in their vehicle. A kiosk owner said that he heard at least three to four gunshots around 6 pm and then saw a vehicle speeding away from the spot. Police stated that the area was immediately secured, and further police reinforcement was rushed to the spot.
