Cong govt 'misleading' public over recruitment exams: Jai Ram
Shimla, July 29 -- Leader of Opposition and former Himachal Pradesh chief minister Jai Ram Thakur on Tuesday rejected chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu's claim regarding no paper leak during Congress government's tenure, saying government had conducted very few recruitment examinations in the first place. "Sukhu was 'misleading' the public over recruitment examinations, he said.
"The CM who rewarded those responsible for paper leaks and stalled investigations has no moral authority to claim that there were no paper leaks under his government," said Thakur.
Questioning the government's employment record, the Jai Ram claimed that state had more than 1,90,000 permanent government employees when the BJP left office in 2022. Citing figures presented in the state assembly, he said, the number had fallen to around 1,75,000, alleging that Congress government failed to fulfil its promises of providing permanent government jobs.htc...
