Srinagar, May 5 -- Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has filed charge-sheet against 11 accused, including Srinagar municipal corporation officials (SMC), in violation of building permission case. The challan was present against an FIR filed against four accused persons of SMC and seven beneficiaries registered for the commission of offences U/S 5(1)(d) r/w5(2) of J&K Prevention of Corruption Act. Svt. 2006, 120-B RPC of ACB police station, Srinagar, before the court of additional special judge Anti-Corruption Srinagar for judicial determination. "The instant case was registered for raising construction of six illegal structures erected at Jawhar Nagar, Gonikhan, Hari Singh High Street and Wazir Bagh Srinagar without obtaining any valid and proper building permission from the competent authority in connivance with the officers/ officials of SMC Srinagar," ACB said in a statement, adding that the investigation conducted by ACB Srinagar police station, on the basis of oral and documentary evidences, has fully substantiated the charges levelledagainst the accused officers/officials and private beneficiaries. "The conspiracy between the accused government functionaries and the beneficiaries was proved beyond doubt. After obtaining the requisite sanction for prosecution of public servants from the governmentthe chargesheet against four accused public servants and seven private beneficiaries has been presented before the additional special judge Anti-Corruption Srinagar for judicial determination. The next date of hearing has been fixed on June 16," the ACB said....
