Srinagar, Sept. 4 -- Sopore police on Thursday attached 10 properties linked to the proscribed Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu & Kashmir (JeI) at Dooru under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). These included two buildings, six shops and two kanals of land. The properties surfaced during probe under a 2025 FIR lodged under Sections 10 and 13 of the UAPA registered at the Sopore police station. Sustained investigation, scrutiny of official and revenue records and verification through authorities concerned established the linkage of the premises with JeI, a police spokesman said in a statement.
