Woman killed in dispute, 10 held
Bharatpur, April 4 -- At least ten people were detained on Friday after a woman died after sustaining critical injuries in a dispute between two groups over alleged encroachment in Bharatpur district, police said.
The woman, who was undergoing treatment, was declared dead by doctors on Friday.
According to police, the incident occurred on March 23 evening in Sirsoda village under Rupwas police station when Mohan Singh Kushwaha told his neighbour Raj Kumar Jatav to remove the alleged encroachment on the street but family members of Jatav gathered and started to attack the family members of Kushwaha.
A complaint was registered against ten neighbours for attacking the family members.
His family member, Bhudevi, 40, was attacked with a stone. She was undergoing treatment due to head injuries but doctors declared her dead.
Vinod Meena, Rupwas police station in-charge said, "Ten people have been detained after a complaint was registered. A woman who was injured in the attack was declared dead."
The tehsildar has assured the victim's family members to remove encroachment from the street.
After getting assurances, family members agreed to take the body of woman for cremation....
