Jaipur, May 29 -- At least three people have been arrested on Thursday after a 20-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped near a temple in Jaipur, police said. Jaipur (West) DCP Prashant Kiran said, "The incident took place near a temple at a hilltop on Sikar Road in Jaipur. The woman was raped by the three on May 24. However, she was threatened and therefore didn't lodge the complaint till Wednesday." According to police, the woman had gone to the temple with her partner on May 24. "After offering prayers, the two had been sitting at a place in front of the temple only when the three accused arrived at the spot," the DCP said. The accused allegedly thrashed the woman's partner, tied his hands and feet, and abducted the woman to a nearby forested area where they repeatedly raped her. "They also recorded the video of the incident and threatened her to upload it on social media if she lodges FIR against them," said Kiran. "She told about the incident to her family members but was scared to visit the police station. However, she agreed to lodge the FIR on Wednesday," Kiran said.
