Udaipur, June 19 -- A major accident was averted at the Doodh Talai zip line in Udaipur when two tourists got stranded nearly 70 feet above the ground during a ride due to strong winds, an official said on Thursday.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening near Pichola Lake, where the tourists were left hanging in mid-air and started shouting for help as vehicles continued to pass below.
According to the official, the tourists were residents of Gujarat and were riding the zip line when sudden strong winds caused them to get stuck approximately 20 meters before reaching the landing platform.
Zip line operator Sharad Agrawal said, "Four tourists from Gujarat had arrived for the ride in groups of two. One group had nearly reached the destination platform when strong winds suddenly picked up, causing the two riders to stop midway on the cable."...
