JAIPUR, Sept. 23 -- Rajasthan has achieved 100% coverage in the formation of 'TB Mukt Bharat' teams, with teams now constituted in all 361 blocks across the state, the health department said on Tuesday. Principal secretary, medical and health, Gayatri Rathore said community and youth participation was essential alongside government efforts to eliminate tuberculosis (TB). A total of 1,805 MY Bharat volunteers and an equal number of NCC cadets have joined the campaign through the block-level teams. The volunteers and cadets will work in their respective areas to spread awareness about TB symptoms, testing and the importance of timely and complete treatment. "Early detection and completion of treatment are crucial to eliminating TB," Rathore said, adding that young people can play an important role in taking awareness messages to communities. The block-level teams are expected to strengthen outreach in villages and at the grassroots. According to data available till September 21, 2026, teams have been formed in 4,686 of the 7,026 blocks across the country, taking the national achievement to 67%. Rajasthan, meanwhile, has formed teams in all its 361 blocks, achieving 100% of its target. Rathore said achieving the goal of a TB-free Rajasthan would require coordinated efforts by the health department and all sections of society.
