state's power generation makes records
Jaipur, June 27 -- Rajasthan's achievement of recording its highest-ever thermal power generation has been recognised by the Multinational Book of Records (India), with the energy department receiving a global honour certificate.
The Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited achieved a record power generation of 7,171 MW on June 2, the highest since its inception. The output was generated from 23 coal-based units with a combined installed capacity of 7,580 MW, translating into 94.60% utilisation rate.
The award was presented at Vidyut Bhawan in Jaipur on Wednesday by representatives of Multinational Book of Records.
