State lifts ban on transfers of govt employeestill july 5: DoP
Jaipur, June 20 -- The Rajasthan government has lifted the ban on transfers of government employees and officers after a prolonged wait.The Department of Personnel (DoP) on Thursday issued orders permitting transfers and postings across government departments from June 20 to July 5. This is the second time in 2026 that the state government has relaxed the transfer ban, having previously opened a transfer window in January.
According to the order, transfers will be carried out at the departmental level during the stipulated period.
The government has directed departments to give priority to single women, widows, abandoned women and employees suffering from serious medical conditions while considering transfer requests.
Special preference will be given to employees battling critical illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, kidney ailments, lung diseases and neurological disorders.
The order covers employees working in state government departments as well as those serving in government corporations, boards and autonomous bodies.
However, the government has excluded several categories of employees from the transfer exercise.Among the excluded categories comes the education department where transfers of Grade III teachers will continue to remain banned....
