Jaipur, July 21 -- The Rajasthan government has extended its Rural and Urban Service Camps until August 31, citing the overwhelming public response and success of the initiative in delivering government services at people's doorsteps. Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced the decision during the seventh 'Raj Unnati' review meeting at the Chief Minister's Office on Monday. He directed officials to expedite the disposal of pending cases and ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left without access to government schemes and public services. The camps, launched on June 12 under the government's Antyodaya (upliftment of the last person) initiative, were originally scheduled to conclude earlier but will now continue until August 31. Sharma instructed district collectors and departmental officers to clear all pending cases at the earliest. He said reasons must be recorded wherever applications remain unresolved and stressed that departments should work in close coordination to ensure the timely disposal of public grievances. The chief minister also directed officials to prioritise disputes related to access roads and encroachments, issues that frequently affect rural communities and often remain unresolved for years. To improve monitoring and assess the impact of the initiative, Sharma asked officials to maintain detailed records of beneficiaries, including their mobile numbers, collect public feedback and seek suggestions from field-level officers to further streamline service delivery.
