State Anganwadi centres to get Toy banks under education drive
Jaipur, June 25 -- The Women and Child Development Department launched a week-long campaign to set up 'Toy Bank' at all Anganwadi centres, as part of a drive to strengthen pre-school education for children in the 3-6 age group from June 24 to July 1. Under the campaign, Anganwadi workers and helpers will conduct door-to-door outreach from June 24 to June 30 to inform residents about the Toy Bank initiative and encourage parents to enrol eligible children.
Children aged 3-6 years who are not currently registered at Anganwadi centres will be identified, and their parents will be invited to participate in the enrolment programme scheduled for July 1.
The department will also collect toys that are no longer in use by older children and make them available for younger children at Anganwadi centres to support their physical, mental and psychological development.
