Six killed in two road accidents in Hanumangarh Bikaner: Police
Bikaner, Aug. 31 -- Six people, including a two-day-old infant and a six-year-old child, were killed in two separate road accidents in Bikaner and Hanumangarh districts on Saturday, police said.
In Bikaner, three people, including the two-day-old newborn, were killed after a vehicle carrying six members of a family returning home from a hospital was crushed between a camper and an SUV in Bhadal village around 7 pm. The family, from Madasar village in Phalodi, was returning home after the mother and her newborn were discharged from a hospital. Bajju SHO Chandrajit Singh Bhati said the newborn, her maternal grandmother and a man died in the incident, while the baby's mother Badhu Devi, her maternal uncle Manish and his wife Manju Devi sustained critical injuries.
In Hanumangarh, three people were killed in a collision between a jeep and a scooter on the Pilibanga-Rawatsar road later on Saturday evening. Police said Pilibanga resident Sunil, 40, son of Omprakash, and six-year-old Pari died on the spot.
Rakesh Nayak was seriously injured in the accident but later died while undergoing treatment at the hospital's trauma centre....
