SIT formed over fake NMMS attendance app
BIKANER, June 14 -- The Bikaner administration has formed a special investigation team (SIT) and ordered the registration of an FIR after receiving information about an application being marketed as an alternative to the National Mobile Monitoring System (NMMS), the digital attendance platform used under MGNREGA, officials said.

Chief executive officer of Zila Parishad, Bikaner, Shailja Pandey, told HT, "We became aware of the issue after information was received about a person being approached with an offer to purchase or subscribe to the application. A three-member SIT has been constituted to examine the matter, and directions have been issued to lodge an FIR against the caller".
