Jaipur, Sept. 30 -- Aspirants for the Rajasthan Sub-Inspector recruitment examination and their family members staged a protest at Shaheed Smarak in Jaipur on Tuesday, alleging that the September 20 examination was "out of pattern" and demanding that it be cancelled and conducted afresh. The protesters raised slogans demanding a re-examination and also sought restructuring of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) and the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board. Satyendra Rao of the SI Recruitment Examination Struggle Committee claimed that RPSC had acknowledged that 30% of the questions in the September 20, 2026 paper were out of pattern, while aspirants estimated the figure at around 80%. "If RPSC has admitted its mistake, why should the candidates bear the consequences?" Rao said, demanding that the examination be cancelled and held again. The aspirants said they wanted a clear government order rather than assurances of talks. They also demanded that the re-examination follow the 2021 pattern. Rao said candidates had been given only four months to prepare after the High Court cancelled the earlier recruitment process, despite many of them having fought for the recruitment for nearly five years. The protesters also alleged that frequent changes in examination patterns were delaying recruitments and leaving posts vacant.
