Jaipur, Sept. 8 -- Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Monday again pitched a "triple-engine government" to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP)'s supporters on the last day of campaigning for the upcoming civic body elections in the state. Addressing supporters during a roadshow in Alwar, he said, "If the Centre, state and local bodies work with the same vision and resolve, development will get a new momentum not only in Alwar but across Rajasthan." The chief minister said the people of the country had complete faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and cited the Centre's development agenda. "Modi ji does what he says," he said. The chief minister later travelled to Bharatpur, where he held another roadshow from Power House intersection to Laxman Temple. The "triple-engine" pitch has emerged as a key element of the BJP's civic election campaign. The Congress has focused on local civic issues to challenge the narrative.
