Jaipur, Sept. 23 -- The Rajasthan health department has directed all districts to accelerate vaccination of eligible children and adolescent girls, setting a target of achieving at least 80% coverage by September 30 and 100% by October 31. Mission director, National Health Mission, Dr Jogaram reviewed the vaccination status across the state and directed officials to focus particularly on districts reporting low coverage. Officials in districts that fail to achieve the 80% target by September 30 will be issued show-cause notices, he said. Jogaram directed officials to identify eligible girls who have missed vaccination and ensure their details are entered on the PCTS and U-WIN portals. In districts selected by GAVI, the data entry of missed eligible girls is to be completed within three days, while other districts have been given seven days. He stressed that administering vaccines alone was not enough and that their timely online registration was equally important to ensure accurate beneficiary records. The mission director also ordered weekly reviews of HPV and MR vaccination across all districts. Special efforts have been directed to reduce the gap between first and second doses of MR vaccination to below 5%. State-level teams will also be sent to districts with low vaccination coverage to assess the situation and identify reasons for the shortfall.
