Jaipur, April 2 -- Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Wednesday said that schools play a crucial role in shaping values among students, describing them as institutions that sow the seeds of value and character in young minds. Addressing the inauguration ceremony of a multipurpose auditorium at Adarsh Vidya Mandir in Rajapark, he said teachers strengthen students by imparting knowledge and inspire them to move forward in life. Emphasising the role of schools in building a humane society, the CM said educational institutions must inculcate compassion among students so that the spirit of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" flourishes. "Schools sow the seeds of values among students, while teachers strengthen them by imparting education and motivating them to move forward," he said. He added that a nation whose children remain connected to their heritage cannot be held back from progress. He said that Adarsh Vidya Mandir schools, through religious, cultural, and educational activities, have been instrumental in spreading messages of peace, harmony, and humanity across society. Sharma said the country possesses the world's largest youth population, which is its greatest asset. He stressed that teachers play a key role in shaping the personality of students and instilling in them not only education but also values and a sense of responsibility towards the nation. An educated youth, he said, contributes not only to personal growth but also to the progress of the country. The chief minister reiterated the state government's commitment to ensuring access to quality education for every child, whether in urban or rural areas. He said development remains incomplete until every child benefits from the light of education. Referring to youth-focused initiatives, he said the government has introduced a youth policy aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, with a vision that young people become job creators as well as job seekers.
