Bharatpur, June 26 -- The Saini community held a mahapanchayat in Bharatpur on Thursday, demanding a separate 12% reservation in government jobs and education institutions. The panch patels of the mahapanchayat submitted a memorandum to the district collector regarding the community's demands. The community has decided to launch a fresh agitation from July 25, said Saini community district president Rameshwar Saini. Members of the Saini, Shakya, Maurya, Kushwaha, Murar and Mali communities have been demanding a separate 12% reservation since November 2013. They had also staged a five-day agitation from June 11 to June 16, 2022. "We have been demanding a separate 12% reservation, but the government is not ready to consider our demand," Saini said. "We have urged the state government to fulfil our demands. The community will be forced to launch an agitation against the government if our demands are not met," Saini added.htc...
