Jaipur, July 22 -- Solar and wind energy projects in the state received nearly Rs.3,900 crore in central aid over the past three financial years, the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy informed the Rajya Sabha. In reply to a question by Rajya Sabha MP Madan Rathore, Union minister for new and renewable energy Shripad Yesso Naik said the Centre released Rs.3,670.47 crore for solar energy projects and Rs.238.66 crore for wind energy projects between 2023-24 and 2025-26. He added that aid for solar projects stood at Rs.973.86 crore in 2023-24, Rs.913.74 crore in 2024-25 and Rs.1,782.87 crore in 2025-26. Assistance for wind energy projects was Rs.122.36 crore, Rs.79.20 crore and Rs.37.10 crore, respectively, during the same period. The minister informed the House that Rajasthan had an installed solar power capacity of 43,317.81 MW and wind power capacity of 5,516.04 MW as of June 30, 2026, making it one of the country's leading producers of renewable energy. The minister added that 11 solar parks with a combined capacity of 10,726 MW have been approved in the state under the Solar Parks and Ultra Mega Solar Power Projects scheme.
