Jaipur, April 4 -- Rajasthan chief secretary V Srinivas has directed officials to expedite the development of Rajasthan University of Health Sciences Hospital into a world-class Rajasthan Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) on the lines of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), aiming to enhance healthcare facilities and boost medical research in the state. During a visit to Rajasthan University of Health Sciences Hospital on Friday, he reviewed progress on the proposed RIMS. He held detailed discussions with subject experts from premier institutions, including All India Institute of Medical Sciences, and officials of the Medical Education Department. Emphasising urgency, Srinivas instructed that work on RIMS be fast-tracked in line with budget announcements.
