Jaipur, June 16 -- Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) has invested Rs.750 crore in HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL) after signing a shareholders' agreement with the state government, becoming a joint shareholder in the Pachpadra refinery project and helping the state maintain its 26% equity stake following an increase in project costs. The agreement was signed on June 11. RIICO transferred Rs.750 crore in equity to the refinery company. The Pachpadra-based refinery-cum-petrochemical complex is one of India's major energy infrastructure projects and is a joint venture between Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and the Rajasthan government.
