Jaipur, Sept. 17 -- Rajasthan's revenue collections from major revenue-generating departments rose 12.41% year-on-year to Rs.57,396 crore during the first five months of the current financial year till August 2026, compared with Rs.51,061 crore during the corresponding period last year, officials said on Wednesday. Chief secretary V Srinivas reviewed the revenue collections and action plans of major revenue-generating departments at the state secretariat on Wednesday and directed officials to maintain the pace of growth. He directed them to prepare corrective action plans, with particular focus on recovery of outstanding revenue, effective enforcement, time-bound disposal of pending cases and greater use of technology. He also stressed the need for stronger monitoring and effective action against illegal mining. Additional chief secretary, mines and petroleum, Aparna Arora said the mining sector had generated Rs.4,162 crore in revenue till August, an increase of 20.26% over the corresponding period last year. The petroleum sector generated Rs.1,107 crore during the period. Principal secretary, transport, Bhawani Singh Detha said the transport department had collected Rs.3,095 crore till August, compared with Rs.2,748 crore during the same period last year.
