Jaipur, Sept. 24 -- Nominations for the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) elections began on Wednesday and will continue until September 26, with several contenders seeking the president's post ahead of voting on September 29. Parakram Singh, son of former Leader of the Opposition and Senior BJP leader Rajendra Rathore, and Dhananjay Singh, son of health minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, are among the names being discussed most prominently. Both camps have been contacting district cricket association representatives to seek support. Mohit Yadav, son of BJP MLA and ex-ad hoc committee convener Jaswant Yadav, and ex-convener Deendayal Kumawat are also in the race. Other potential contenders include Udaipur District Cricket Association president Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Dungarpur District Cricket Association president Gaurav Vallabh and Sri Ganganagar District Cricket Association treasurer Jaideep Bihani. The final electoral roll has 38 voters. They will elect the six-member RCA executive on September 29. On the first day of nominations, Dausa District Cricket Association president Shobhana Gurjar filed her papers for an executive member's post.
