Jaipur, Aug. 3 -- Ranthambore Tiger Reserve received an overwhelming response as advance bookings for the October-December 2026 tourism season opened, with nearly 40,000 tourists reserving safari slots within the first two hours, including around 14,000 foreign visitors, according to the deputy conservator of forests (Tourism). The advance booking window for safaris scheduled between October 1 and December 31, 2026 opened at 12 noon on August 1. Forest officials said the record response reflects Ranthambore's growing international appeal and tourists' confidence in the reserve's digital booking system. Despite witnessing one of the highest traffic volumes of the year, the booking portal remained fully operational, handling verification, reservations and live reporting without any disruption. Officials said the upgraded technical infrastructure ensured a smooth user experience even during peak demand. Ranthambore showed availability across multiple safari options even two hours after bookings opened. The forest department also said the portal withstood significant cyber threats during the booking process.
