Raj to mark first Int'l MSME Day with Rs.13 crore aid distribution
Jaipur, June 27 -- Rajasthan will celebrate International MSME Day for the first time on Saturday, with chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma set to unveil a series of initiatives aimed at boosting entrepreneurship, industrial growth and employment in the state.
At a programme to be held at the Constitution Club on Saturday, Sharma will distribute symbolic cheques worth more than Rs.13 crore to beneficiaries of various schemes of the industries and commerce department. The assistance will include loans, grants and subsidies under different state programmes.
Sharma will also hand over land allotment letters and offer letters to beneficiaries of the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) under its industrial land allocation and rental policies.
The event will also witness the launch of the Rajasthan Industrial Development Policy, an One District One Product (ODOP) coffee table book, and the RAMP (Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance) portal, which is aimed at strengthening the state's micro, small and medium enterprises ecosystem.
Beneficiaries of several flagship schemes will receive financial assistance during the event.
In addition, beneficiaries under RIICO's direct land allotment policy will receive allotment letters and offer letters, while entrepreneurs covered under its Rental Policy will also be issued offer letters.
