Jaipur, Sept. 11 -- Rajasthan's expenditure in the first five months of the current financial year rose 24.51% year-on-year to Rs.92,316.14 crore till August, chief secretary V Srinivas said on Thursday, directing departments to accelerate spending and ensure budget allocations do not lapse. Chairing a meeting of the Committee of Secretaries at the state secretariat, Srinivas asked departments to remove bottlenecks in low-spending schemes and immediately start approved works that are yet to commence. The meeting reviewed central schemes, budget announcements, RajKaj and e-file systems, public grievances, Mission Harit Rajasthan, RajNivesh and recruitment. Of the budget announcements made between 2024-25 and 2026-27, 1,373 have been completed and work is underway on another 1,518, officials said. Srinivas also called for greater efficiency in the e-file system and fewer unnecessary levels in file processing. On the Rajasthan Sampark grievance mechanism, he directed officials to ensure speedy and quality disposal of pending complaints. Of the 60,05,840 grievances registered so far, 59,17,908 have been disposed of. Reviewing the RajNivesh investment portal, Srinivas directed officials to dispose of investors' applications within the prescribed timelines. The portal received 49,442 applications till August in the current financial year and currently offers 190 services. On Mission Harit Rajasthan, Srinivas said verification and regular monitoring of plantations should be prioritised.
