raj Govt Grants 2-Yr Promotion Relaxation for state employees
Jaipur, July 13 -- The Rajasthan government has approved a two-year relaxation in the mandatory experience required for promotions for 2024-25, 2025-26 and 2026-27 for state government employees.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced the measures on Sunday while addressing a felicitation ceremony organised by the Rajasthan Secretariat Service Officers Association and the Secretariat Employees Association.
The CM said the promotion relaxation would be available to employees who have not availed of the benefit during the previous three years. Necessary amendments will be made to the relevant service rules, enabling thousands of employees to receive timely promotions and addressing a long-pending demand.
Highlighting other employee welfare measures, Sharma said the government has increased the gratuity ceiling from Rs.20 lakh to Rs.25 lakh, in line with the Centre.
The state has also introduced pension benefits based on notional pay increments for employees retiring on June 30, provided an additional 5% pension to retirees upon attaining the age of 70, extended family pension for 10 years in the event of an employee's death, and allowed employees covered under the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS) to choose either their parents or parents-in-law as dependents.
The government has also sanctioned the creation of 149 new posts in the Secretariat to strengthen administrative efficiency and facilitate promotions....
