Pvt hospitals go on strike over doctor's arrest
Jaipur, May 9 -- Private hospitals across Jaipur suspended OPD and IPD services indefinitely on Friday in protest against the alleged assault and intimidation of jailed doctor Somdev Bansal's family members during proceedings related to his bail plea in the Rajasthan high court on Thursday.
According to office-bearers of the Indian Medical Association, Jaipur Branch, only patients already admitted to hospitals continued receiving treatment.

Doctors' organisations claimed a medical board did not find negligence in treatment, but an FIR was later registered against Bansal over alleged irregularities linked to the scheme and he was arrested.
The protesting organisations demanded immediate justice for Bansal, action against those accused of disrupting judicial proceedings, and security for doctors and their families. htc...
