Jaipur, Sept. 29 -- Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Monday said 65 major development projects worth around Rs.453 crore had been inaugurated and foundation stones laid for 184 new projects worth Rs.540 crore in the Bharatpur division. He added that BJP-led double-engine government in Rajasthan was not merely making announcements, but ensuring projects were implemented on the ground within a stipulated timeframe. Addressing a development works inauguration and foundation-stone laying ceremony at Bidyari in Bayana, Sharma said the projects would strengthen modern infrastructure and give a boost to education, healthcare, tourism and investment in the region. He said Bharatpur had received projects worth more than Rs.382 crore, including 130 works, while 24 works worth over Rs.358 crore were taken up in Deeg, 43 works worth more than Rs136 crore in Karauli, 46 works worth over Rs.74 crore in Sawai Madhopur and six works worth more than Rs.42 crore in Dholpur. Sharma said the state government was moving towards its goal of Viksit Rajasthan-2047 by adopting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas". He said the state was undertaking projects worth more than Rs.2 lakh crore in the water sector, including long-pending Yamuna water agreement, Ram Jal Setu project and Kishau agreement. Rajasthan was moving towards self-reliance in energy sector, he said, adding that the state was among the leading states in implementation of PM-KUSUM scheme and had increased power generation capacity by 10,500 MW. Production has also begun at the country's most advanced refinery, he added. On employment, Sharma said 410 examinations had been conducted without paper leaks, resulting in government appointments to 1.90 lakh posts. Recruitment for another 1.22 lakh posts was under way, while a recruitment calendar for 1.25 lakh posts had been released, he said. He added the government had provided Rs.14,395 crore under the Kisan Samman Nidhi to 76 lakh farmers and extended around Rs.67,000 crore in interest-free crop loans to more than one crore farmers. Highlighting development in the health sector, Sharma said a state-of-the-art trauma centre and maternal and child health (MCH) hospital were being developed in Bharatpur at a cost of around Rs.160 crore. The foundation stones for 20 new medical and health projects worth more than Rs.108 crore were also laid, while 11 projects were inaugurated, he said. In the road sector, foundation stones were laid for 125 projects worth more than Rs.207 crore, while road projects costing over Rs.24 crore were inaugurated. In the power sector, 14 major projects worth Rs.273 crore were inaugurated. New 33-kV substations will also be constructed at Chuli and Aniyala, Sharma said. In the water resources sector, projects worth more than Rs.128 crore were inaugurated and the foundation stones for new works worth over Rs.44 crore were laid. The drinking water expansion project in Nadbai would also be started soon, he said. The CM said several initiatives had also been taken to strengthen the agriculture sector, including expansion of the agricultural produce market at Nithar in Bhusawar, construction of a boundary wall and Kisan Path, and establishment of a new bio-testing laboratory. The foundation stones were also laid for buildings for new veterinary hospitals and sub-centres. In the education sector, Sharma inaugurated the newly constructed government girls' college building in Bari, built at a cost of Rs.7.5 crore. Foundation stones were also laid for education projects worth more than Rs.27 crore, including construction of new primary schools. During the programme, Sharma announced the construction of modern stadiums in Bayana and Braj Nagar and new 33-kV substations at Thanadang, Supa and Mahalpur Chura. He also announced road projects from Ghatoli to the Uttar Pradesh border via Mairtha-Milsama Road and from Samri Mod to Singhania. He announced the construction of three culverts on the Nagla Jalsingh, Naroli-Sikandra and Nagla Diwan routes. Water resources minister Suresh Singh Rawat said the state government under Sharma fulfilled long-pending aspiration of Ram Jal Setu project and that Bharatpur division would benefit significantly from it.
