Jaipur, July 21 -- State education minister Madan Dilawar on Monday warned that private schools must strictly comply with government regulations or face action, including cancellation of recognition, as the state moves to make the school recognition process more transparent, time-bound and streamlined. Chairing a review meeting on simplifying the recognition process for private schools and clearing pending cases at Shiksha Sankul, Dilawar announced that applications for fresh recognition will be invited from July 31, with decisions to be taken within fixed timelines at every stage. "Private schools will have to fully comply with government rules. Any violation will invite action as per the law," he said. Under the revised process, the first-level inspection committee will submit its report within seven days of an application, after which the district education officer will examine and forward it within 15 days. The final decision will be taken by the director of education. Dilawar directed that inspections be conducted transparently and warned that officials responsible for unnecessary delays would face disciplinary action. He said every deficiency found during inspections must be clearly documented, while only applications submitted in the prescribed format would be accepted. Necessary amendments will also be made to simplify regulations without compromising student safety.
