Jaipur, Sept. 11 -- A mobile phone was recovered from former Behror MLA Baljeet Yadav, who is lodged in Jaipur Central Jail in connection with an alleged Rs.3.72-crore MLA fund scam, police said on Thursday. According to police, the phone, allegedly concealed beneath a blanket spread on the floor, was recovered during a search around noon on Wednesday. The jail administration confiscated it and lodged a case on Thursday on a complaint by the jail guard, police said. "During a search of Ward No. 5 around noon on Wednesday, a Cachoda mobile phone was found in the possession of Baljeet Yadav, an undertrial prisoner lodged in the ward," Lalkothi police station sub-inspector Shyam Sundar said.
