panel formed to probe into Accident That Killed 4 in jaipur
Jaipur, July 9 -- The Jaipur district administration has constituted a seven-member inquiry committee to investigate the road accident that occurred on Tuesday on the 200-foot Bypass in Jaipur, officials said on Wednesday. In the accident, a speeding trailer ran over a family sitting on the footpath, killing a father and his three children on the spot, while the mother lost both her legs.
According to an order issued by district collector Sandesh Nayak, the additional district magistrate (City-South) has been appointed as the chairman of the inquiry committee, while the Additional deputy commissioner of police (traffic-south) will serve as the member secretary. The committee also comprises the regional transport officer (Jaipur First), the superintending engineer of the public works department (PWD), the executive director (administration) of the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC), the Project Director of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), and the Special Officer of Jaipur City Transport Services Limited (JCTSL).
The District Collector has directed the committee to submit a detailed report along with recommendations within five working days....
