Neighbour abducts, rapes minor in Dausa
Bharatpur/Dausa, May 27 -- Police are on the lookout for a man in his 20s for abducting and raping his 10-year-old neighbour in the Sikandra area of Dausa district, officers said on Tuesday.
The incident occurred late on Monday, when the accused entered the house and took the child to a secluded spot, where he raped her. He left the girl unconscious and fled, police said.
Family members had gone to a wedding function nearby, giving the accused the opportunity to enter the house and abduct the child. Her relatives discovered she was missing when they returned and later found her unconscious in a nearby field.
The girl was taken to Sikandra Community Health Centre, and doctors there referred her to the district hospital for further treatment.
Ashok Chaudhary, in-charge of Sikandra police station, said the survivor's father filed a complaint against the man for kidnapping and raping his daughter.
A case has been registered under the Pocso Act. The accused remains at large and the police are searching for him, Chaudhary said....
