Bharatpur/Deeg, April 3 -- A man was shot dead over the land dispute while the police started searching for absconded killers in Deeg district, police said on Thursday. The incident took place in village Gamodki under Sikri police station on Wednesday midnight. There was a land dispute between two families while a group of family shot a man of another family dead. On being informed, police reached the spot and rushed the injured to Sikari hospital where doctors declared him dead. The deceased was identified as 46-year-old Jagtar Singh whose dead body was handed over to family members on Thursday after post-mortem by the police. Mukesh Kumar, Sikari police station in-charge said that the victim's family bought land in the village around a month ago. Sukhvinder Singh who shot Jagtar Singh dead, his family members started dispute with the victim's family over the land. After commiting crime, all family members absconded, police said.
