Man held for buying leaked paper for Rs.5l, helping to cheat
Jaipur, Oct. 11 -- Rajasthan Police's Special Operations Group (SOG) has arrested a 32-year-old man on Saturday, for allegedly purchasing a leaked question paper for Rs.5 lakh and helping a relative cheat using a Bluetooth device in the Supervisor (Women's Empowerment) recruitment examination held on January 6, 2019, officials said.
The arrest of Manish Gila, a resident of Bikaner district, takes the total number of people arrested in the case to 14, including eight alleged members of the paper leak gang and six female candidates, police said.
Additional director general of police (SOG) Vishal Bansal said "Gila bought the question paper from Paurav Kaler and arranged for his relative, Manju Kumari Bishnoi, to receive answers through a Bluetooth device during the examination. Bishnoi had earlier been arrested in connection with the case."
Bansal said the investigation found that alleged gang leaders Tulchharam Kaler and Paurav Kaler, along with members Raju Matrix and Dinesh Singh Chauhan, leaked the question paper from Shri Ramsahay Adarsh Secondary School, an examination centre in Bikaner.
Gang members allegedly solved the paper, while Paurav and Tulchharam helped candidates cheat by relaying answers, he said. The examination was conducted under the 2018 recruitment process. Investigators are questioning Gila about the candidates allegedly assisted and his role in the operation....
