Jaipur rly stn to roll out crowd management plan
Jaipur, Nov. 3 -- Junction will open the exit route at its newly constructed second entry gate on the Hasanpura side from November 4 to 16 to ease passenger congestion during the festive rush, the railway administration said.
The gate will be used exclusively by passengers leaving the station. Entry will not be allowed as redevelopment work is still pending, according to an official release.
The move is part of a rolling crowd management plan aimed at reducing pressure on the main entrance near Bhagwan Parshuram Circle and ensuring smoother passenger movement.
A holding area is also being developed where passengers will be regulated and allowed to enter platforms in phases to prevent overcrowding.
The railway administration has urged passengers to use only the main entrance near Bhagwan Parshuram Circle to enter the station and follow instructions from railway staff and security personnel.
With passenger footfall expected to rise during the festive season, additional security personnel are being deployed. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) control room will maintain round-the-clock surveillance, while CCTV cameras will monitor passenger movement and crowd density.
Officials said all equipment under the station's Integrated Security System had been inspected to ensure it was functioning properly. Instructions have also been issued to keep the systems operational for effective monitoring. Round-the-clock war rooms have been set up at railway headquarters and across all divisions to monitor the situation and coordinate passenger movement.
Railway employees involved in station operations have been directed to remain alert, regulate crowds and respond promptly to emergencies....
