Jaipur, June 29 -- A 55-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her son with a sharp-edged weapon in Jaipur's Khoh Nagorian area, police said on Sunday, adding that the son has been detained. According to police, Panni Devi Bairwa lived in a rented house in Bundu Vihar with her three sons. On Saturday morning, her two elder sons left for work, while Anil remained at home. An argument reportedly broke out between her and Anil before the attack. DCP (East) Ranjita Sharma said the police control room received information about the murder at around 12.55 pm on Saturday. Police reached the spot and found Panni Devi lying outside the house with severe bleeding injuries. Preliminary investigation revealed that she had sustained deep wounds to her forehead and left eye from a sharp-edged weapon, resulting in her death on the spot.
