India, Aug. 22 -- Actor Akanksha Chamola's separation from Gaurav Khanna has continued to draw attention since she revealed on a reality show that they were living separately and heading for divorce. She has since faced allegations that the revelation was made for publicity, but says she is no longer interested in defending her decision. "I would never do something like this for PR," Akanksha tells us. "The show I was a part of was about revealing your own self and speaking about things and secrets that you may have kept with you for a long time. That is exactly what I did." The 35-year-old recently asked paparazzi not to question her about Khanna, saying she has learnt to draw a line around her personal life. "I've been dealing with public scrutiny for a very long time now. I dealt with it when I was married and I'm dealing with it even after announcing my separation. I have said what I had to say. I choose peace over explanation," says Chamola, known for shows including Swaragini and Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye. Chamola and Khanna, who married in 2016, have been living separately for about a year and their divorce process is currently underway. After Lock Upp, Akanksha will next be seen on another reality show and is also in talks for music videos and OTT projects.
