HPCL Raj REFINERY SET TO BEGIN PRODUCING DIESEL SOON: Chief secy
Jaipur, June 11 -- Chief secretary V Srinivas on Wednesday said that diesel production at the HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited facility at Pachpadra was expected to begin this month after crude oil processing began.
Chairing a virtual review meeting with officials from the Mines and Petroleum, Home, Transport, Revenue and General Administration departments, along with representatives of Hindustan Petroleum, Srinivas said that the refinery was a "prestigious project" with a 26% stake held by the state government, adding that it would initially produce diesel and LPG, with an estimated annual diesel output of around 4 million metric tonnes once fully operational.
Srinivas directed the formation of a high-level committee under additional chief secretary (mines and petroleum) Aparna Arora to explore marketing opportunities and coordinate distribution of refinery products within the state.
