JODHPUR, May 17 -- The Rajasthan High Court on Friday declined to pass any further directions on a plea seeking a permanent bench of the Board of Revenue at Jodhpur after petitioners informed the court that they were no longer pressing for a permanent bench and were instead seeking a circuit bench for both single bench and division bench matters. A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma and Justice Chandra Shekhar Sharma was hearing petitions filed by the Rajasthan High Court Advocates Association and connected matters. During the hearing, senior advocate Anand Purohit, appearing for the Advocates Association, submitted that the petitioners were not pressing for a permanent bench at Jodhpur and were only seeking a circuit bench of single bench as well as division bench of the Board of Revenue. The bench noted that an earlier order passed on May 15, 2023 had already directed the Board of Revenue, Ajmer, to conduct circuit bench sittings at Jodhpur.
