HC junks plea against answer key, results of civil judge prelim test
JODHPUR, March 21 -- The Rajasthan high court has dismissed a petition challenging the answer key and results of the preliminary examination for the Civil Judge Cadre Recruitment-2024, observing that there were no grounds to interfere with the expert committee's answer key , a lawyer in the know said on Friday.
Appearing before a division bench of justices Arun Monga and Sunil Beniwal, the petitioner, Khushbu Choudhary argued that the answers to several questions were incorrect and the objections raised were not properly considered.
During the hearing, the court noted that a model answer key was released after the paper to invite objections from candidates, and an expert committee had issued the final key after considering objections.
The bench said, "Even assuming that the interpretation suggested by the petitioner is plausible, the existence of an alternative view cannot by itself justify interference. Where two reasonable views are possible in an academic matter, the view adopted by the Expert Committee must ordinarily prevail."
The court also noted that two questions removed were deleted uniformly for all candidates and could not be construed as discriminatory.
Regarding another question where a change in the answer was sought, the petitioner would have gained only one mark; keeping her final score below the 68- mark cutoff. HTC...
