Ex-IAS officer questioned for 20 hrs in JJM case
Jaipur, April 13 -- Former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Subodh Agrawal has been interrogated by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) for nearly 20 hours in the last two days while he remained silent on several questions, officers said.
A senior officer said, "He is cooperating. We are recording his statements on camera. He responded to many of our questions but also remained silent on several questions."
He added that the interrogation has so far been conducted for 20 hours. "We have showed him all the evidences that we gathered and grilled him. We are also asking him about the involvement of ex-PHED minister Mahesh Joshi. We are trying our best to break him and get some additional information regarding the case," he said.
A special ACB court on Friday remanded Agrawal to three days in custody in connection with the Rs.960-crore Jal Jeevan Mission irregularities case in the state, even as ACB sought a five-day remand for questioning.
On Thursday, ACB arrested Agrawal from Delhi after he was on the run for nearly 50 days.htc...
