ex-association secy arrested in forged sport certificates case
Jaipur, June 26 -- A Special Operations Group (SOG) probe has led to the arrest of a former Taekwondo association secretary in Jodhpur for his alleged role in a racket that produced 38 forged sports certificates to secure government teaching jobs.
Additional director general of police (SOG) Vishal Bansal said the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) had reserved 2% of posts under the sports quota for the 2022 Level-I Third Grade Teacher Recruitment Examination.
During verification, investigators discovered that 38 candidates shortlisted under the sports category had submitted purported national-level Taekwondo certificates to a selection committee constituted by the education department.
"The probe found the certificates were allegedly forged and obtained through middlemen to secure government jobs. Investigators also discovered that fake verification reports were sent to the Directorate of Elementary Education, Bikaner, using forged email IDs resembling those of the Taekwondo Federation of India, Dhanbad, Jharkhand," said Bansal.
Tank was booked under various sections relating to cheating, forgery, criminal conspiracy and provisions of the Information Technology Act....
