Disciplinary action against 3 Raj officers
Jaipur, July 15 -- The Rajasthan government has taken disciplinary action against three state officers after chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma approved a proposal to suspend a Jail Service officer and proceed against two Rajasthan Police Service (RPS) officers over alleged misconduct and negligence.
According to an official statement issued on Tuesday, deputy superintendent Saroj Vishnoi, posted at the Women's Prison Reformatory in Jaipur, has been suspended with immediate effect and transferred to Bharatpur. Complaints against her alleged that she kept a female inmate with her, interfered in official work and provided illegal facilities to inmates in exchange for money.
In another case, Sharma approved the departmental inquiry report against RPS officer Labhuram Vishnoi after the allegations against him were found to be substantiated.
The inquiry pertains to an operation against the gravel mafia in the Banas River area of Chauth Ka Barwara in Sawai Madhopur district. The government alleged that Vishnoi failed to follow instructions regarding action against illegal mining and transportation, resulting in a law and order situation and putting the lives of police personnel, including his own, at risk....
